Yes, these are challenging times, but there are opportunities. We put out an edm to our advertiser database this week with a message asking them to consider print advertising now that all the big events like National Fieldays and conferences are cancelled. It's been a positive response from agribusinesses so far, so I'm pretty happy with that.
I'm hoping this could be agriculture's time to shine (again) and be the country's big engine room for generating export dollars. So long as our primary sector products can be processed and exported, the rural sector should be okay. Most farmers work in near self isolation anyway, so hopefully they are safer from the virus.
